The US is full of wineries. According to Wines & Vines, there are now 6,589 US wineries (based on my experience with The Winery Web Site Report, probably half of them have Web sites).
76% make less than 5,000 cases a year (41% make less than a thousand).
How do you intend to stand out from the other 6,588 wineries? You're all selling, in one form or another, fermented grape juice.
What's your unique, engaging story?
PS - the original quote was "My God, it's full of stars!"
The very thought of 6,589 wineries is quite monolithic, isn't it?

I think it's an easy conversation if they are in markets without local competition. They can use the buy local argument and have a tasting room, which sells a ton of product for them.
For others, especially in the fine wine market, it's a harder road to go down and they need to be more creative and willing to use media to not only tell their story, but to let people sample their product.
