Another month, another group of winery blogs discovered:
Airfield Estates

Even with more than 230 winery blogs in The List, still only a small fraction of wineries have blogs, despite the fact that they are easy to update, and well-regarded by search engines.
The most important requirement for winery blogging is to commit to regular writing. The second most important requirement is the ability to tell a good story.
I think that's why you don't see that many winery blogs: the requirement for regular blogging and telling a good story are much harder to sustain than most people think. Also, many people I know in the wine industry aren't very good writers.
For those people, I'd recommend finding a voice for the winery that allows for a bunch of writing problems, provided the story is good or funny, or find a good writer that can pick up the desired voice with a passion for the product and pay them well!

Wine and networking is a wonderful combination. Allows folks to relax and be natural which make for much more interesting conversation and warmer contact.
