Since it's my birthday, I was wondering if you make a special offer to members of your wine club on their birthday? It's another way to "touch" your best customers in a personal way.

The club I work for does not. We have been discussing either recognizing the b-day or anniversary of club membership with a additional discount for purchase or small gift. We do collect date of birth upon sign up though. Great data to help understand your demographics.

It's always great to hear what wineries are actually doing. Do you get any resistance to sharing full month-day-year date-of-birth info?

Hey Mike, We send out birthday and anniversary cards to our Paesanos. We gather the information through quarterly surveys that we use to make sure we are exceeding expectations.
Everyone at the winery signs the card and wine club is in charge of sending them out on the appropriate dates.
If you put them on your Outlook Calendar as a recurring event, its really easy to keep them in mind, and set a timer for them- that way no one gets forgotten.
