This brings the total number of winery blogs that I track to 136 (plus one already added for this month, GarageVino).
Winery blogs are no longer remarkable in and of themselves, like they were when Stormhoek (now a shadow of its former self, IMHO) was the very first winery blog to get noticed in a big way. Now winery blogs must be remarkable because of what they deliver to their readers.
A winery blog is really just a way of communicating with your 1,000 True Fans. The trick is to make it so interesting/cool/useful/informative/... that the people who read it want to become your fans too.
Hi Mike - and thanks for adding the Humanitas blog 'Drink Charitably' to the list. I really appreciate it and agree with you regarding content. Blogging is most certainly undergoing a change but I am thrilled to see the wine industry venture into new ground in order to spread the word. Happy New Year!
